Real Madrid target Man City hit man as their new number one January signing.
It would appear that the Barclays Premier League is the personal high-end shopping destination for Real Madrid President Florentino Perez. After having already enticed the likes of David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and more recently Gareth Bale to leave the shores of England, the Guardian reports that Los Blancos have their heart set upon another Premier League sensation Sergio Aguero.
Madrid’s current first choice striker Karim Benzema isn’t really getting the fans on their feet and even after 4 years with them a contingent of the Santiago Bernabeu even saw fit to boo him. It is therefore Perez’s ambition to replace Benzema with Aguero.
What makes Aguero such an optimum candidate is that he already has a fair bit of experience in the La Liga, having represented derby rivals Atletico Madrid 234 times. The problem however is that the Argentinean signed a one year contract extension with City earlier in the year, which is slated to keep him at the Etihad Stadium till 2017.
More importantly, the 25 year old himself has taken a shine to the life in Manchester and appeared far from keen to go anywhere, “I’m very happy at City, very happy since the day I came. I knew that the project was good and in my head there is nothing else but Manchester City, so how long I’m going to be at City is just never a question.”
