Tottenham Hotspur look set to add to their embarrassment of riches in the middle of the park with a move for CSKA Moscow star Keisuke Honda when his contract with the Russian giants expires in January.
The 27 year old versatile attacker is currently earning a highly attractive 70,000 pounds a week with the Russian giants, and will no doubt be looking at an even bigger pay day, both in terms of a huge signing bonus, and better wages in what is likely to be his last big contract before he turns 30.
And Honda was making no commitments about which club he is going to join when his contract expires. The player shared in an interview carried in the Metro today, ‘I have a number of options – when the time comes I will make a decision. I have now decided I will leave my club at the expiry of the contract, everything else will be decided soon.’
It is believed that Tottenham will face competition from the likes of AC Milan, Juventus, Monaco and local rivals Liverpool for his signature, and he would be a fantastic signing for the North London club.
