Juan Mata might have managed to force his way back into Jose Mourinho’s plans at Chelsea but that hasn’t stopped the rumour mongers from talking up his imminent exit from the club. Given the form he has displayed over the last few seasons, not many clubs can afford the player, but out of some of the clubs linked with him, the name that was being talked about the most was that of French moneybags PSG.
Fans of PSG seem to be very keen on the Chelsea man. In a fan poll, a whopping 58 percent of them voted for Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta when asked who they want to see at the club. Juan Mata in contrast got 30 percent of the votes, with Sergio Ramos and Iker Cassilas getting 6 percent each.
PSG recently let go of Mamadou Sakho, a firm fan favourite at the club which basically tells us that the club perhaps do not give a lot of weight to fans’ opinions. This essentially means that if the PSG hierarchy are keen on the player, then they will buy him.
However, one does feel that it is hard to see Mata leave Chelsea now after he was brought back into the fold by Mourinho.
